In the session a resolution by PML-N legislator was presented and passed for initiation of polio campaign in Punjab. Through resolution legislator stressed upon Unicef and federal government to take steps in that direction. Answering queries further, the minister said that Irrigation Department had constructed 11 dams (one district Rawalpindi, five districts Chakwal, five districts Jhelum) in year 2001-02.
Ahmed Ali Aulak told the House that total irrigational area in Sargodha was 186.59 acres. On the occasion, the Chair Rana Mashhood formed a committee to inquire into issue of wrong answers given on two queries. The Chair asked the committee to file an answer by coming Friday.
The House was told further that no filthy water was being thrown in BRB Canal; however in the city areas from where this canal passed, dirty water was being put in the canal the minister pointed. Minister for Irrigation replying to a query on water theft stated that 2044 cases were filed in year 2011. Aulak in queries on the occasion denied that any dam was being built in Kasur area of Punjab. Minister Irrigation said that in 'Bhal Campaign' in Sargodha in year 2009-10, 2010-2011 Rs 5.788 million and Rs 5.313 million were respectively spent. The House was adjourned for Monday 3:00pm later by the Chair.
